Hey, how are you all doing? Im good. Anyway, I went to the AWANA conference today. I found it really helpful. I think the part that impacted me the most was the beginning. Our speaker this year was Steve Pigott. His message was that for example, your car breaks down. All you can do is step back and say, "Oh well." Cursing at your car isn't gonna do anything to help fix your car and neither is hitting the steering wheel.

Okay, so I was trying to make a video with one of my favorite songs and I couldn't get it uploaded to youtube. But after several hours of frustration, I did it! Check it out.

Okay, I have a request for a new post. Yea, it's been awhile. Hmm... What could I talk about? Oooo! I know. I don't know if I have told any of you this yet, but I've been looking at doing a mission trip through teen missions since, well, for awhile. And, I might actually get to go. If I were to go, I would want to go to Egypt. There, we (there's a team that goes) would mix and pour concrete sidwalks that will connect many of the buildings at the orphanage. That's were the team is staying at. While we are there, we will enjoy the time spent with the children as we share God's love through music, drama, puppets and testimonies. We will also be able to visit the nearby caves where Mary and Joseph stayed with the Christ Child during our free time. (I got all of this from the teen missions magazine) The only problem, is getting the money to go. It costs $3590, and you have to get money for passports.

Something interesting came to me today. During our church's service today, out Pastor was talking about running away from God, and how you can go anywhere in the world, but he will still be there. But somewhere in there, he mentioned that Jonah had to walk 2,500 miles or something like that, but he never made it. Anyway, it made me think about walking nowadays. When I walk to church, and I'm a block away, I think 'Oh thank you, I'm almost there!' and that's less than a mile. Back then, people didn't have bikes or cars or anything like that and had to walk everywhere they went. How did they do it?!

I got my permit yesterday! Third times the charm. I am so happy. I'll probably start off with driving down 45th and in parking lots.

Home

I am so glad to be home. 40 degree difference between here and Spokane. Glad it's raining too. You might not, but I am. It only rained once and it was for like, 5 minutes. I missed you guys. It was a mad house over there. 11 pets, and 6 kids. Crazy. But anyway, it was fun. I'll try to get pictures on here from the trip.

Update from Spokane

Hey everyone,
How are you? I hope your good. I miss you guys. It's been super hot over here. Highest temperature I think was 102? Something like that. Anyways, I've been alright. Except for melting. I'm having fun, but I'm looking forward to coming home. We just had a really cool thunder storm and we went and chased it. Pretty awesome lightning. But I hope your not all melting like I am.

Can't wait to come home,
Brittany

Lakewold Gardens

Yesterday was the tour of the Lakewold Gardens that some ladies of the church attended. As you can see, it was a huge success. Morgan and me were able to capture the beauty of the garden. We learned lots of interesting facts about the garden and how it came to be as it is now.

Owens Beach

These were taken at Owens Beach in Point Deffiance park. They were taken June 22, 2007. It was so much fun. The boys found a jelly fish and were trying to 'pet' it. The we went on a walk while we waited for Carmen. After that, they all played kickball. And soon after that it started to rain... But it was time for lunch anyway. We had ice cream after that... So good... Anyways, it was really fun!
